Terrance J. Kwiatkowski, M.D. is a board-certified Otorhinolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgeon, a fellowship-trained Ear, and Neurotologic Surgeon, and a highly trained and experienced Rhinologist/Sinus surgeon.
Dr. Kwiatkowski attended medical school 1990-94 at the State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center where he was medically and surgically groomed in the wonderful and volatile melting pot of illness and trauma that was inner city Brooklyn. His free time was spent volunteering in the Kings County Hospital Trauma Center, and taking the subway into Manhattan for great food, drink and theater. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, won the Otolaryngology Medical Student Award, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1994. Of note, he was the first student in the history of this medical school to obtain a surgical subspecialty residency at an Ivy League institution, that being University of Pennsylvania (the nation’s first medical school and a perennial Top-Five Otorhinolaryngology program).
Dr. Kwiatkowski trained in residency from 1994-99 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), as well as Pennsylvania Hospital - the nation's first and longest standing hospital in center city of Philadelphia. While there, he fostered his love for ear and skull base surgery and was mentored in advanced and complex sinus surgery by Dr. David Kennedy, M.D., often thought of as the ‘father of endoscopic sinus surgery’ and then chair of the department. Throughout his career, this exceptional fundamental training in sinus surgery and treatment at Penn has always made Dr. Kwiatkowski the local expert in sinus disease. With the ever-expanding knowledge base in this area, Dr. Kwiatkowski has always been a leader in introducing and properly using new technology.
From 1999-2001, Dr. Kwiatkowski trained in advanced ear and skull base surgery at The University of California - San Diego and Kaiser-Permanente Southern California Center for Skull Base Surgery. Here, he met and married his lovely wife in 2000, and upon completion of his fellowship, they moved to Henderson, Nevada, where they maintain a residence to this day.
During his 20+ years of practice in Las Vegas and northern Arizona, Dr. Kwiatkowski was recognized as the regional expert in complex ear and sinus disorders and also served as Division Chief of Otorhinolaryngology at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center, which is the largest and most innovative hospital in Las Vegas.
Most recently, in January 2023, Dr. Kwiatkowski, because of his combined expertise in ear and sinus disorders and pioneering work in minimally invasive techniques in these areas, was hand-picked and recruited back to the northeast for his current position to start a new office-based sinus intervention practice in Greenwich, CT. This latest transition gels with Dr. Kwiatkowski’s evolved and contemporary philosophy realized over a 25-year career that when dealing with patients who will benefit from procedural intervention…’ less is more’. To that end, providing minimally invasive and maximally effective treatments in an office-based setting with rapid recovery and minimal downtime for his patients is the goal and philosophy of Dr. Kwiatkowski’s practice.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Kwiatkowski enjoys spending quality time with his wife and family, golfing with his dad, skiing with his friends, participating in sports of nearly any kind, and exploring the world through travel.
